Mitch Lambros attended Duke University for college and law school (B.A., 1982; J.D., 1985). He is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honorary society for academic achievement in college, and also a member of the Order of the Coif for academic achievement in law school.

Mitch was president of the Maryland Trial Lawyers’ Association in 2003-2004. During that year, through the tireless efforts of an excellent team, MTLA beat back a massive attempt to take away Marylanders’ legal rights in medical malpractice cases. He has served on the association’s Board of Governors since 1994, chaired its fundraising and legislative committees, and served as editor of its quarterly publication, Trial Reporter. The organization has since been renamed the Maryland Association for Justice.
Mitch Lambros practices exclusively on behalf of plaintiffs in injury and disability matters. His practice areas include personal injury, automobile negligence, medical malpractice, workers’ compensation, and Social Security disability. He has extensive litigation experience in complex personal injury and medical malpractice cases in Maryland state and federal courts. He also has litigated medical malpractice cases in the District of Columbia and Pennsylvania. He has represented Social Security clients in hearings before Administrative Law Judges over a thousand times.
Mitch has provided pro bono services under the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund.

Serious injury cases. Every case involving serious personal injury requires an attorney who is well versed in medical issues. Mitch meets with treating doctors, researches the medicine and works with medical illustrators so that a jury understands not only what an injury has done, but what it will do in the future. In crash cases, he uses his knowledge of accident reconstruction — skid marks, roadway gouges, crush damage and debris patterns — to prove how a collision really happened and to challenge weak police reports and insurance company experts.
Medical malpractice. Malpractice cases are hard fought and expensive, and they must be proven through qualified physician experts. Mitch has made that commitment time and time again, in cases involving ignored fetal distress, missed heart attacks and missed strokes. His work defending patients’ rights in the Maryland legislature gives him a deep understanding of how these laws work.
Social Security Disability. With more than a thousand hearings before Administrative Law Judges and more than 1,700 clients who have received benefits, Mitch knows how disability claims are decided — and how they are lost.
